Aviation Consulting has successfully delivered specialised aviation security training for Antonov Airlines, focusing on the security of air cargo and mail entering the European Union from third countries.

The training covered the EU third-country secure supply chain framework, including ACC3 and RA3 requirements, responsibilities of security managers, security programmes, internal quality control, cargo security measures, documentation and procedures for responding to non-compliances and emerging security threats.

The training comes at a particularly relevant time. Recent events at Leipzig/Halle Airport, where an explosives-loaded drone was discovered near a Ukrainian Antonov cargo aircraft, once again demonstrate that aviation and air cargo operations continue to face evolving and increasingly complex security threats.

The course was based on the requirements and principles of ICAO Annex 17, ECAC Doc 30 Part II, Regulation (EC) No 300/2008 and its implementing acts, combining regulatory requirements with their practical application in international air cargo operations.
