Subject-matter expertise alone does not automatically make someone an effective instructor. Our Train-the-Trainer Course provides instructors with practical methods for turning knowledge into structured, engaging and effective learning.
The course combines adult learning principles with hands-on training design and delivery. Participants learn how to define clear learning objectives, structure training sessions, develop suitable training materials, explain complex technical subjects, manage different learner needs and assess whether learning objectives have actually been achieved.
A strong practical focus allows participants to apply the methods during the course, receive feedback and develop confidence in delivering training in a professional aviation environment.
Key areas include:
- adult learning principles and learner motivation;
- defining learning objectives and structuring training;
- development and use of training materials;
- presentation and facilitation techniques;
- communicating complex technical subjects clearly;
- managing group dynamics and learner participation;
- assessment of learning outcomes;
- constructive feedback and instructor self-evaluation;
- practical training delivery exercises.
Target audience: Current and future aviation instructors, subject-matter experts, internal trainers, supervisors and other professionals responsible for transferring knowledge within an aviation organisation.
Format: Classroom or live virtual training
Duration: Typically 3–5 days, depending on the required scope and practical exercises.
The course can be tailored to your organisation, operational environment and the type of training your instructors are expected to deliver.
