According to 145.A.25 (d), the conditions of storage for serviceable components should be in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions to prevent deterioration and damage of stored items.
One of the hazards to serviceable components is damage due to static electricity discharge (ESD), often caused by inadequate storage conditions or improper handling. The training on handling of ESD sensitive devices has been developed for maintenance and repair organizations (MROs) so to provide its staff with necessary knowledge on ESD hazards and how these can be minimized.
The training course provided by Aviation Consulting combines the knowledge of MROs operations and major electronics manufacturers’ procedures and policies. Duration of the course is approximately one hour.
